Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems, EV systems. Read technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform general electrical maintenance. Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices, fault locating, repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations. Perform circuit breaker corrective maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, 1 phase and 3 phase motor issues including motor starters and overloads, variable frequency drives (VFD), program logic controls (PLC), and damaged underground electrical wiring. Troubleshoot, repair, replace electrical gear such as panels, meter banks, disconnects, and breakers. Work with 3 phrase 480V, motor rotation meters, voltmeter, OHM meter, and megger meter. Ability to diagnose complex electrical issues including, check for continuity, voltage, current resistance, or power; compare readings with the specifications, manuals, and diagrams; trace the circuits or components from the source to the load; and look for signs of damage, corrosion, loose connections, and overheating. 5 year apprenticeship and 3 terms of in classroom work for a red seal trade certificate as an electrician as well as, additional training to receive a master’s electrician license.
$27.50-$30.00 Per Hour
